Davido advises aspiring artistes to stay grounded in faith after success

Afrobeats superstar Davido has advised emerging musicians to remain focused on their dreams and keep their faith in God at the centre of their careers, saying success in the entertainment industry often comes with distractions.

Speaking during an interview with Kiss Xtra that gained traction online on Friday, the award-winning singer reflected on his journey to stardom, urging young artistes to believe in their abilities and remain committed to developing their talent.

Davido said his love for music motivated him to constantly improve, noting that he relied on online resources and learned from people around him during his early years in the industry.

He encouraged aspiring musicians to approach their careers with passion, discipline and a willingness to keep learning, stressing that consistent self-improvement played a major role in his success.

The singer also cautioned that fame can easily distract people from the values that helped them rise, urging upcoming artistes not to lose sight of God after achieving success.

According to him, maintaining a strong spiritual foundation is essential, as it helps artistes stay grounded despite the pressures and temptations that often accompany fame.
