Davido buys N483.9m diamond necklace to celebrate album

Popular Nigerian singer, David Adeleke, fondly called Davido, has purchased a diamond necklace worth N483.9 million (£500,000).

Davido was seen acquiring the diamond necklace from the designers in a video shared on his Instagram page on Tuesday, August 15, 2023.

The diamond-crested pendant was created in recognition of the singer’s fourth studio album, ‘Timeless’.

Davido, in the video, said he had transformed sand into a diamond.

“I turned sand to diamond,” the Afrobeat star captioned the video.

Also reposting the video on his Instagram page, social media influencer and blogger, Tunde Ednut, wrote: “Daaaaaaamn! When there’s money, there’s money. Davido just purchased one of his most expensive diamond chains. Damn, this one is priced at £500,000.

“It’s a TIMELESS PIECE. No one has ever done this type before where diamonds pure inside the chain like sand.

“Damn! In this era where bar no dey, some people, the era no affect them Oooo!!! Damn. On one chain? WHEN I SAY OBO!!! You saaaaaaaaaaaaaaay?”
