A Deputy Inspector General of Police (DIG), Joseph Egbunike, is dead.
Egbunike, who was in charge of the Force Criminal Investigations Department (FCID), was said to have slumped and died in his office at the Area ten Garki, Abuja on Tuesday night.
The deceased hails from Onitsha in Anambra State.

He headed the Special Investigation Panel constituted by the Inspector General of Police (IGP), Usman Baba, to investigate the suspended head of the Police Intelligence Response Team, Abba Kyari, over alleged money laundering.
Meanwhile, the police force headquarters had yet to react to the demise of Egbunike as of the time of filing this report.
