The operatives of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) have arrested a cross-border drug trafficker, Emeka Okiru, with 32,700 tablets of Tramadol 225mg under the brand name, Royal and Tramaking, in Adamawa State.
The 40-year-old drug trafficker, while preparing to supply his customers who came from Republic of Cameroon, was arrested by the NDLEA operatives at Garden city, Mubi in the Mubi North Local Government Area of Adamawa State on Tuesday.
This was disclosed via a statement made available to The Star on Wednesday by the NDLEA spokesman, Femi Babafemi, noting that the drugs were found concealed in cartons of paintbrushes.
He noted that different quantities of cocaine, amphetamine, and cannabis were recovered from four suspects in Oyo State.

The suspects, Adetola Tosin, Akeem Kazeem, Korede Ahmed, and Abdulgafar Nureni, were arrested in Omi-Adio area of Ido LGA, Oje area of Ibadan North LGA, Iwo Road, Ibadan North East LGA, and Sabo, Mokola, Ibadan North West LGA, when the NDLEA operatives raided parts of the state on Tuesday.
No fewer than 172 kilograms of cannabis were recovered by the NDLEA operatives from two suspects, Zaidu Mohammed Kamba and Hussaini Dauda in the Kamba area of Kebbi State on Monday, April 4, 2022.
Commending the agency officers for their efforts, the NDLEA Chairman/Chief Executive of Brig. Gen. Mohamed Buba Marwa (Retd), charged the anti-drug operatives and their compatriots in other commands across Nigeria to sustain the tempo of offensive action against the drug cartels in every part of the country.
