Benue State Governor Hyacinth Alia has declared a one-week holiday for all civil servants in the state in commemoration of Easter celebration.
This was contained in a circular signed by the Permanent Secretary, General Services, Godwin Tighil, on behalf of the Secretary to the State Government on Tuesday, March 31, 2026.
According to the circular, the holiday would take effect on March 31 by 1:00 p.m., and work would resume on April 8.

“However, those on essential services are directed to remain at their duty posts to attend to issues of human and urgent public interests,” it said.
Alia, in the circular, wished the people of Benue State happy holidays and urged them to continue to pray for the peace of the state and Nigeria.
