EFCC arrests 11 internet fraudsters in Lagos, recovers exotic cars

The operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) have arrested 11 suspected internet fraudsters in Lagos State.

The suspects include Tony Efe Ebafua, Azubike Kelvin Chukwuka, Osawea Joshua Tobechukwu, Raymond Tochukwu Kennedy, Ejike Collins Nwigbo, and Adedeji Festus Olusegun.

Others are Harrison Chinaza Agha, Odigie Ireme Emmanuel, Osarobo Ehigiator, Godwin Mensha, and Ajah Simon.

The EFCC disclosed that the suspected internet fraudsters were arrested during a sting operation at Tulip Heaven, Chevron, Lekki, Lagos State, on Thursday, August 7, 2025.

EFCC arrests 55 internet fraudsters, recovers guns in Ogun

The EFCC said the suspects were apprehended following credible intelligence on the activities of some individuals suspected to be involved in computer-related fraud.

According to the commission, items recovered from the suspected internet fraudsters include one Range Rover, three Mercedes‑Benz vehicles, two Lexus vehicles, one Toyota vehicle, 15 iPhones, two Android phones, one Nokia torch phone, one Mac desktop computer, two Apple laptops, two Dell laptops, two iPads, one ECOWAS passport, and one yellow card.

The anti-graft agency added that the suspects will be charged to court upon the conclusion of investigations.
