EFCC arrests 13 Sokoto students for internet fraud

The operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) have apprehended 13 students of Usmanu Danfodio University, Sokoto in Sokoto State, for alleged internet fraud.

The EFCC disclosed this in a statement issued by its spokesman, Dele Oyewale, on Saturday, September 28, 2024.

Oyewale noted that the arrests were made on Saturday in the Gidan Yaro and Dandima areas of Sokoto, following actionable intelligence suggesting the suspects’ involvement in internet-related offences.
