EFCC arrests 27 internet fraudsters in Bauchi

The operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) have arrested no fewer than 27 suspected internet fraudsters in Bauchi State.

The suspects were arrested by the EFCC on Thursday, February 22, 2024.

The anti-graft agency, in a statement on Friday, February 23, disclosed that the suspected internet fraudsters were apprehended at D&D Apartment and Bubes Hotel in the Yelwa area of Bauchi State.

EFCC arrests 2 currency racketeers, 19 internet fraudsters in Ibadan

It noted that the arrest of the suspects followed credible information on their suspected involvement in internet-related offences.

The EFCC revealed that a BMW car, iPhones, iPads, laptops, and a desktop computer were recovered from the suspected internet fraudsters.

The commission added that the suspects would be charged to court as soon as investigations are concluded.
