The operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) have arrested 35 suspected internet fraudsters at different locations in Benin, the capital of Edo State.
EFCC spokesman Dele Oyewale disclosed this via a statement issued on Wednesday, May 21, 2025.
Oyewale said the suspects were arrested based on credible intelligence on their alleged involvement in internet-related fraud on Tuesday, May 20.

He listed items recovered from the suspected internet fraudsters to include nine exotic cars, smartphones, and laptops .
The EFCC spokesperson added that the suspects will be charged to court upon the conclusion of investigations.
