The operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) have arrested 48 suspected internet fraudsters in Abeokuta, the capital of Ogun State.
The EFCC disclosed this via a statement issued on Friday, July 11, 2025.
The commission said the suspects’ arrest followed surveillance and credible intelligence that linked them to fraudulent internet activities.

The anti-graft agency listed items recovered from the suspected internet fraudsters to include a pump action rifle, five high-end cars, a motorbike, several mobile phones, laptop computers, and incriminating documents.

The commission added that the suspects will be charged to court upon the conclusion of investigations.
