EFCC arrests 59 internet fraudsters in Abuja

The operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) have arrested 59 suspected internet fraudsters in Abuja.

The EFCC disclosed this in a statement on Wednesday, February 26, 2025.

The anti-graft agency said the suspected internet fraudsters were apprehended on Monday, February 24.

It said the suspects were arrested at Abacha Road, Mararaba axis of Nasarawa state following credible intelligence about their suspected involvement in fraudulent internet activities.

The EFCC listed items recovered from the suspects to include 73 phones of different brands.

“The suspects will be charged to court as soon as investigations are concluded,” it added.
