The operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) have arrested a suspected currency counterfeiting syndicate including a retired Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP), Idris Yusuf, and two others.
Others arrested by the EFCC operatives in New Nyanya, Nasarawa State were Hassan Abubakar and Ibrahim Yusuf.

The anti-graft agency, in a statement issued on Thursday, noted that the suspects were arrested on January 12, 2023, following intelligence obtained on their suspicious currency counterfeiting activities.
The EFCC stated that the suspects would be charged to court upon the conclusion of investigations.
