EFCC chair to students: Embrace integrity, entrepreneurship

The Executive Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, Ola Olukoyede, has urged students across Nigeria to uphold integrity and embrace entrepreneurship as tools for personal success and national development.

Olukoyede gave the charge on Saturday at the prize-giving and graduation ceremony of the Nigerian Army Officers’ Wives Association (NAOWA) College, Asokoro, Abuja.

Represented by the Head of the EFCC’s Enlightenment and Reorientation Unit, Assistant Commander of the EFCC, Aisha Muhammed, the anti-graft agency chairman encouraged the graduating students to become agents of positive change and build legacies rooted in integrity and excellence.

Speaking on the theme, “The Journey Continues: Building a Legacy of Excellence,” Olukoyede described graduation as the beginning of a new phase filled with opportunities, responsibilities and possibilities.

He said true success goes beyond academic achievements, stressing that character, values and positive impact on society are the real measures of excellence.

“True success extends beyond certificates, prizes and academic distinctions. The real measure of success lies in the character we build, the values we uphold, the positive impact we make on others and the need to be people of integrity,” he said.

Olukoyede urged the students to pursue excellence through discipline, perseverance, continuous learning and honesty, noting that excellence is a lifelong pursuit rather than a destination.

He also encouraged them to apply the knowledge and skills acquired in school to make meaningful contributions to society.

In her welcome address, the Director of NAOWA College, Major F.E. Eneche, commended the commitment of the school management, parents and other stakeholders, saying their support made the students’ success possible.

She congratulated the prize winners and urged them to remain consistent in their pursuit of excellence.

Also speaking, the President of NAOWA, represented by the Head of the school’s Education Committee, Mrs. Jenny Gbileka, encouraged the graduating students to remain resilient, confident and determined in pursuing their goals.

She described the graduation ceremony as a celebration of excellence, dedication and achievement, urging the students to continue striving for success while upholding integrity in all their endeavours.
