The Shawwal crescent moon was on Thursday, April 20, sighted in Saudi Arabia.
The sighting of the moon in Saudi Arabia has made Thursday the last day of the holy month of Ramadan and heralds the 2023 Eid-el-Fitr celebration.
Eid-el-Fitr celebration marks the end of the month-long fast and is traditionally celebrated with large gatherings of worshippers to pray and break their fasts.
