The Ologotun of Ogotun Ekiti, Oba Adebayo Adesanmi Alademeso, and the Ologotun-in-council have expressed and over the death of the retired Acting Chief Judge of the old Ondo State, Justice Edward Ojuolape.
Ojuolape, a former Acting Chief Judge of Old Ondo State (comprising present Ondo and Ekiti States) died on Thursday, January 16, 2025, at the age of 98.
Speaking on the death of the community leader, who in retirement later became the leader of the PDP Elders Forum, Ademeso, in a statement on Friday, January 17, described Ojuolape’s demise as “a peaceful departure to eternal glory of a highly cerebral jurist and deeply loved community leader.”
The monarch also extolled the virtues of the late jurist, whom he described as “a pillar of wisdom, integrity, and unwavering dedication to service.”

He added: “The entire Ologotun in council is saddened by this demise.
“The late judge was a man of exemplary character, simplicity and dedication who left an indelible legacy of service not only to his family, community but also to the two states of Ondo and Ekiti states and the nation at large, particularly through his significant contributions to legal jurisprudence.
“His life was a testament to the values he upheld, and his impact will remain etched in the hearts of all who knew him especially in Ogotun Ekiti, his hometown. May his soul rest in perfect peace.”
