EKSU suspends academic activities over late registration fee protest

The management of Ekiti State University (EKSU), Ado-Ekiti, has suspended academic activities in the institution for two weeks.

The university management gave the directive after a protest by the students over a N5,000 late registration fee imposed on them by the institution on Tuesday, April 11.

The students, while expressing grievance at the imposition of the fee, shut the university gate preventing both lecturers and students from gaining entry into the premises.

The angry students also barricaded all roads leading to the university.
