Emmanuel Olorunnisola named finalist for 2026 Global Cyber Security Award

Cybersecurity expert Emmanuel Olorunnisola has been shortlisted for the 2026 Cyber Security Leader of the Year, one of the top categories at the globally recognised Cyber Security Awards.

Olorunnisola, who serves as Group IT Security Operations Manager at Mott MacDonald, is among nine finalists selected from a highly competitive pool of entries spanning over 50 countries.

Organisers described this year’s entries as exceptional, noting that the awards continue to spotlight individuals and organisations safeguarding global digital infrastructure.

The Cyber Security Leader of the Year category honours professionals who demonstrate outstanding leadership, measurable impact, and long-term contributions to advancing the cybersecurity field. It also recognises innovation, strategic thinking, and a commitment to mentoring the next generation of experts.

Finalists will be evaluated based on four key criteria: leadership ability, industry contribution, professional achievements, and commitment to developing others. Judges will consider factors such as influence, collaboration, publications, speaking engagements, and mentorship initiatives.

Olorunnisola’s nomination reflects his growing reputation in cyber resilience, as well as his work in Artificial Intelligence and quantum strategy. His efforts focus on helping organisations manage evolving cyber threats while preparing for future technological disruptions.

The Cyber Security Awards remain one of the leading global platforms for recognising excellence in the industry, with a digital audience exceeding 1.6 million professionals and an international panel of judges.

Winners will be announced on April 27, 2026, marking a key moment for the global cybersecurity community as it celebrates innovation and leadership in the sector.
