EPL fixtures: Tottenham host Nottingham Forest as Chelsea face Everton

Relegation-threatened Tottenham Hotspur are set for a decisive Premier League encounter against fellow strugglers Nottingham Forest, as the battle to avoid the drop intensifies.

With leaders Arsenal and second-placed Manchester City facing off in the Carabao Cup final on Sunday, attention in the Premier League shifts to the tightly contested race for survival and European qualification.

Tottenham defender Pedro Porro has described Sunday’s clash as “a final,” with both sides desperate to escape the relegation zone.

Managed by Igor Tudor, Tottenham sit just one point above fourth-bottom Forest, who are led by Vitor Pereira.

A defeat for Tottenham, combined with a win for West Ham United against Aston Villa, could see Spurs slip into the relegation zone.

With only eight matches remaining, the North London club is battling to avoid dropping into the second tier for the first time since the 1977–78 season.

Despite their struggles, Tottenham showed signs of improvement in a 3-2 win over Atletico Madrid during the week.

Although they were eliminated from the Champions League 7-5 on aggregate, recent performances — including a draw against Liverpool — suggest a possible return to form.

However, Tottenham remain winless in their last 12 league games — their worst run since 1935 — while Nottingham Forest have also endured a difficult spell, failing to win any of their last seven top-flight matches.

Elsewhere, Chelsea are looking to recover from a heavy Champions League exit at the hands of Paris Saint-Germain (PSG).

Chelsea were beaten 8-2 on aggregate, including a 3-0 home defeat in the second leg, sparking frustration among fans at Stamford Bridge.

Supporters voiced their displeasure by chanting the name of former owner Roman Abramovich and criticising manager Liam Rosenior for substituting key players like Cole Palmer and Joao Pedro.

Currently sixth in the Premier League, Chelsea have won just one of their last five matches and face a tough trip to Everton.

They are chasing a top-four finish, sitting three points behind Aston Villa and one point adrift of Liverpool.

Below are the Premier League fixtures slated for the weekend:

Friday

Bournemouth v Manchester United

Saturday

Brighton v Liverpool

Fulham v Burnley

Everton v Chelsea

Leeds v Brentford

Sunday

Aston Villa v West Ham

Tottenham v Nottingham Forest
