A Magistrates’ court sitting in Owerri, the Imo State capital, has remanded the immediate past deputy governor of the state, Gerald Irona, in a correctional centre.
The presiding magistrate, C. N Ezerioha, gave the order on Thursday after hearing the prosecution counsel and defence counsel.
Ezerioha ordered that Irona, who was arrested by security operatives on Wednesday, be remanded in Owerri correctional centre.
