Ex-President Yar’Adua’s mother Hajiya Dada dies at 102

The mother of the late former President Umaru Musa Yar’Adua, popularly known as Hajiya Dada, has been confirmed dead at the age of 102.

Hajiya Dada died after a protracted illness on Monday, September 2, 2024.

One of her sons, Suleiman Musa-Yar’adua, announced her demise in Katsina State on Monday.

Suleiman stated that the late former president’s mother was survived by many children, grand, and great-grandchildren.

Among her sons is the senator representing Katsina Central Senatorial District, Abdulaziz Musa-Yar’adua.

Her funeral prayer is scheduled to be conducted by 1:30 p.m. on Tuesday, September 3.
