A tragic incident has shocked residents of Chirokusko Village in Tarmuwa Local Government Area of Yobe State, where a 17-year-old boy, Abdulra’uf Abdullahi, was allegedly stabbed to death by his father during a domestic altercation.
The incident reportedly occurred around 10:00 p.m. on Monday, June 9.
According to local sources, the father, identified as Danga Shiru Wanzam, allegedly attacked his son with a knife, fatally stabbing him in the chest.
The reason behind the dispute remains unclear.
Police officers who responded to the scene rushed the victim to the General Hospital in Babbangida, where medical personnel confirmed Abdulra’uf dead on arrival.
Residents of the community expressed deep sorrow and disbelief over the incident, describing the deceased as a quiet, respectful young man.
The suspect is currently on the run, and police authorities say efforts are ongoing to track him down and bring him to justice.
