FCT monarch backs Tinubu’s re-election, donates N1m to Renewed Hope Ambassadors

The Agaba of Jiwa Chiefdom in the Abuja Municipal Area Council (AMAC), Alhaji Idris Musa, has donated N1 million to the FCT Renewed Hope Ambassadors, a group campaigning for the re-election of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

The donation was made on Wednesday when members of the group, led by their Coordinator, Hon. Adamu Abdullahi, paid a courtesy visit to the monarch at his palace.

Speaking during the visit, Alhaji Musa expressed appreciation to President Tinubu for what he described as purposeful leadership and inclusive governance.

He also commended the President for appointing Barrister Nyesom Wike as Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, describing the choice as commendable.

The traditional ruler further praised the appointment of Hon. Abdullahi as Coordinator of the Renewed Hope Ambassadors in the FCT, referring to him as “a son” and affirming confidence in his leadership.

Declaring his support for President Tinubu’s second-term bid, Alhaji Musa pledged to mobilise support for the President within his domain and beyond, using his influence to encourage widespread backing for the re-election effort.

He urged residents of the FCT to reciprocate what he described as the President’s goodwill towards Abuja, citing inclusive appointments and governance initiatives as reasons for continued support.

In his remarks, Hon. Abdullahi commended President Tinubu’s administration for its inclusive approach to governance, particularly its focus on the development of the FCT.

He highlighted key appointments, infrastructure projects and policy initiatives aimed at positioning Abuja as a true national capital that reflects unity and shared prosperity.

He also emphasised the role of traditional institutions in driving sustainable development, calling on royal fathers to engage more closely with village heads and community leaders.

Abdullahi sought the consent of the Agaba of Jiwa to allow the Renewed Hope Ambassadors to engage with tribal chiefs across communities within the chiefdom, stressing that peaceful coexistence remains essential for sustainable development in the nation’s capital.
