The Federal Capital Territory Administration (FCTA) has provided four dedicated phone lines for residents to report uncleared waste in the territory, as part of efforts to improve sanitation and accountability among waste management contractors.
According to Lere Olayinka, Senior Special Assistant to the FCT Minister on Public Communications and Social Media, residents are encouraged to send pictures and videos of uncleared refuse via WhatsApp to the numbers provided.
The submissions should include the location to help identify the contractor responsible for that area.
The hotline numbers are: 08038643087, 07011073406, 07011255710 and 09114843425.
Olayinka emphasized that the initiative aims to address the growing waste problem in the FCT by ensuring that contractors perform their duties promptly and efficiently.
Residents are urged to actively participate to help keep the city clean.
