Omotayo Sanusi, popularly known as Iyan Aladuke and the estranged wife of Nollywood actor Femi Adebayo, has dismissed allegations that actress Toyin Abraham played any role in the breakdown of her marriage.
In a statement shared on her Instagram page on Wednesday, Sanusi described the claims circulating on social media as false and said she decided to speak out because the rumours were increasingly being treated as facts.
She specifically denied reports alleging that Toyin Abraham informed her of an alleged romantic relationship between Femi Adebayo and another actress during the production of a movie, prompting her to confront those involved.
According to Sanusi, no such conversation or confrontation ever took place.
She also rejected claims that she harassed or assaulted anyone on a movie set, insisting that the allegations were entirely fabricated.
Sanusi revealed that she was present throughout the film production at the centre of the rumours and actively supported the project by coordinating welfare for the cast and crew.
She said her team catered for more than 500 people during the month-long production, making it unlikely that such an incident could have occurred unnoticed.
Challenging the allegations, Sanusi called on anyone who genuinely believed they had been attacked or harassed by her during the production to publicly provide evidence.
She explained that her previous silence was a conscious decision to avoid public conflict and should not be interpreted as an admission of the allegations.
In a separate Instagram post, Sanusi criticised what she described as the double standards of people who readily accepted unverified claims about her but questioned her decision to defend herself.
She maintained that correcting false narratives should receive the same attention as the allegations themselves.
Responding to an Instagram user who urged her to also clear actress Funke Akindele’s name over earlier online claims, Sanusi denied ever accusing the award-winning filmmaker of any wrongdoing.
She challenged anyone making such claims to produce credible evidence, insisting that allegations should not be presented as facts without proof.
The clarification comes after a TikTok blogger revived claims that Toyin Abraham allegedly informed Sanusi about an affair between Femi Adebayo and Funke Akindele during the production of Jagun Jagun Part 2, leading to a confrontation on set and eventually the collapse of her marriage.
Sanusi’s latest statement marks her first public response to the longstanding rumours, as she distances both Toyin Abraham and Funke Akindele from the controversy and urges the public to stop spreading what she described as false narratives.
