The Federal Government has launched a new credit scheme tagged “Fly Now, Pay Later” to make domestic air travel more affordable for Nigerians.
The initiative was announced on Tuesday by the Nigerian Consumer Credit Corporation (CREDICORP) via its official X handle. It allows eligible passengers to book local flights and spread payment over time through structured financing.
According to CREDICORP, the programme is designed to ease the burden of upfront travel costs, which often prevent many Nigerians from making urgent or important trips.
Under the scheme, customers can secure flight tickets immediately and repay in installments, eliminating the need for full payment at the point of booking.
The corporation stated that the initiative is being implemented in partnership with MyVisaro and Alert Microfinance Bank as part of broader efforts to expand access to consumer credit.
Interested individuals are advised to visit visaro.ng to apply and book flights to destinations within Nigeria.
CREDICORP added that the programme aligns with its mandate to promote financial inclusion and improve access to essential services through innovative credit solutions.

The move comes at a time when the cost of domestic air travel continues to rise, making it increasingly difficult for many Nigerians to afford flights. During the 2025 festive season, one-way fares on some routes surged by about 150 percent, exceeding ₦300,000.
Airlines have linked the increase in ticket prices to factors such as high aviation fuel costs, foreign exchange challenges, and rising operational expenses.
