The Federal Government has warned Nigerians, especially those in border communities, to beware of traffickers luring people into organ harvesting, prostitution, and other criminal activities.
Comptroller of the Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS), Jibiya Border Command, Haruna Suleiman-Zakirai, said on Thursday that the command rescued over 150 victims of human trafficking between January and November 2025.
He noted that the victims were intercepted at various border routes following intelligence reports and were later handed over to NAPTIP for reintegration with their families.
Suleiman-Zakirai urged Nigerians to avoid illegal migration routes, possess valid travel documents, and remain patriotic by supporting efforts to secure the nation’s borders.
