The Minister of Finance and Coordinating Minister of the Economy, Wale Edun, has returned to the country, putting to rest widespread rumours about his health and reported absence.
Edun was sighted on Sunday in Abuja, where he attended an official business event organised by a government corporation.
The meeting, which hosted a delegation of foreign investors, was part of the administration’s drive to strengthen international partnerships and boost Nigeria’s economic outlook.

Reports had earlier circulated suggesting that the minister was “indisposed” and had travelled to the United Kingdom for medical reasons.
His public appearance, however, confirmed that he has resumed official duties.
At the event, Edun was seen engaging with delegates and senior government officials, signalling his return to active service and reaffirming his involvement in ongoing economic initiatives.
