Adamawa State Governor Ahmadu Fintiri has imposed a 24-hour curfew on Lamurde Local Government Area of the state with immediate effect.
The governor’s Chief Press Secretary, Humwashi Wonosikou, disclosed this in a statement issued on Friday, July 11, 2025.
Wonosikou quoted the governor as saying that the directive followed recent violent attacks and the breach of peace in some communities within the area.
Fintiri stated: “The government views these disturbances as unacceptable and has directed security agencies to enforce the curfew strictly.
“The curfew is effective immediately and will remain in place until further notice.”
