Fire guts Onitsha drug market

Goods worth millions of naira were destroyed after fire gutted the popular Ogbo Ogwu Market in Onitsha, Anambra State on Tuesday.

The Anambra Fire Service boss, Martin Agbili, who confirmed the incident, said the cause of the fire was yet to be ascertained.

Agbili said the fire affected a section of the market, adding: “My men are currently at the scene battling the fire.”
