Fire has razed the Maiduguri Central Market, popularly known as Monday Market, in Borno State.
The fire outbreak which occurred in the early hours of Sunday is still raging with the officers of the Fire Service battling to contain it.
The Director of the Borno State Fire Service, Umaru Kirawa, who confirmed the incident, said the Federal, state, and other fire units have joined to contain the inferno.
“We have fully deployed to contain the situation,” Kirawa said.
