Fire razes OPay office in Ibadan

A fire broke out on Tuesday at an OPay office located along Akala Expressway in Ibadan, Oyo State, destroying property valued at millions of naira.

The blaze, which started in the afternoon, damaged sections of the building and caused panic among nearby residents, drivers, and business owners. Many onlookers gathered as thick smoke and flames filled the area.

Firefighters responded promptly and were able to bring the fire under control. Fortunately, no injuries or fatalities have been reported.

The exact cause of the fire is yet to be determined, though preliminary reports suggest it could be linked to an electrical fault.

OPay has reassured customers that its digital services remain fully operational, and funds are safe.

Authorities have advised people in the vicinity to remain cautious and stay safe.
