First Lady donates N100m, launches Christmas food distribution in Kaduna

The First Lady of Nigeria, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, has donated N100 million to the Christians Northern Nigeria Political Forum (CNNPF) as she officially launched the distribution of food items to Christian families in Kaduna ahead of the Christmas and New Year celebrations.

Speaking at the event, Senator Tinubu commended the Office of the Senior Special Assistant to the President on Political and Other Matters for organizing the initiative.

She also announced that 48,000 bags of 25-kilogram rice and transport allowances would be distributed to beneficiaries.

Emphasizing her belief in the value of self-reliance, the First Lady added an additional N100 million to the CNNPF, urging other well-meaning Nigerians and organizations to emulate the gesture of solidarity.

She noted that the initiative reflects a deep understanding of citizens’ needs, especially during the festive season, and recognizes the support of CNNPF members who have been loyal since the inception of the administration.

Highlighting the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the First Lady said the administration’s policies are anchored on inclusion, compassion, and opportunity, ensuring that all Nigerians can thrive regardless of their status.

She further called on Nigerians to live peacefully and support one another, stressing that true nation-building is only possible in harmony.

Governor Uba Sani of Kaduna State praised the initiative, describing it as more than charitable giving—it is about lifting spirits and showing care for the vulnerable.

He commended Senator Tinubu’s empathy, moral leadership, and national service, noting that her philanthropy transcends religious, ethnic, and regional boundaries, benefiting both Muslims and Christians across the country.

In his remarks, Hon. Ibrahim Idoko, Chairman of CNNPF, lauded President Tinubu for promoting inclusivity through key appointments, including Professor Nentawe Yilwada as APC National Chairman and General Christopher Musa as Minister of Defence.

He revealed that CNNPF will organize political summits across Northern states in the first and second quarters of 2026 to mobilize Christian citizens for active participation in governance.

Hon. Idoko added that by the third quarter of 2026, the Forum will conduct zonal campaigns and media outreach in local languages to highlight the achievements of the Tinubu administration, culminating in a formal endorsement of President Tinubu for the 2027 General Election.
