The Nigeria Revenue Service (NRS) has officially unveiled its new institutional brand identity, marking a major shift in the country’s revenue administration structure following the transition from the Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS).
The NRS was created after President Bola Tinubu signed the Nigeria Revenue Service Establishment Act, 2025 into law in June 2025.
Speaking at the unveiling ceremony on Wednesday in Abuja, Executive Chairman of the NRS, Zacch Adedeji, said the new logo and brand elements symbolize an important milestone in the nation’s tax administration journey.
According to a statement by his Special Adviser on Media, Dare Adekanmbi, Adedeji said the new identity demonstrates a renewed commitment to efficiency, transparency and a more service-driven revenue system aligned with Nigeria’s economic transformation goals.
He added that the rebranding represents continuity, stronger institutional capacity and a forward-looking approach to supporting taxpayers while promoting national development.
“The Nigeria Revenue Service remains committed to transparency, partnership and service excellence,” the statement said, noting that the unveiling marks the beginning of a stronger relationship between the agency and Nigerians — built on trust and shared prosperity.
