Pastor Isaac Olaomo, founder of The Mantle Prayer Ministry, opened up about his life’s dramatic transformation, tracing a path from humble beginnings to spiritual leadership.
Born and raised in Oyo State, Olaomo grew up in severe poverty under the care of a single mother after his parents separated when he was six.
Hunger and hardship pushed him toward music, and he began performing Fuji songs locally, dreaming of rivaling stars like Pasuma.
In 1994, while registering for higher education in Ogun State, Olaomo attended a prayer meeting that changed the course of his life. Within two years, he committed fully to Christ, leaving secular music behind.
He describes this transition as trading worldly songs for “heavenly songs,” a sign of his spiritual awakening.
Olaomo later founded The Mantle Prayer Ministry, inspired by a personal vision in which he saw himself wearing an oversized shirt — a metaphor, he explains, for a ministry bigger than his current capacity, signaling divine growth.
Today, the 50-year-old pastor dedicates his life to guiding youths and the church toward spiritual purity.
He calls for a departure from materialism, flashy shows, and fame-driven ministry, advocating instead for integrity, prayer, and a focus on God’s mission.
