Rivers State Governor Siminalayi Fubara has approved the appointment of Dr Dagogo Wokoma as Secretary to the State Government (SSG) and Sunny Ewule as his Chief of Staff (CoS).
Fubara disclosed this in a statement issued by his Chief Press Secretary, Onwuka Nzeshi, ON Thursday, February 26, 2026.
The governor said the appointments were with immediate effect.

He also announced that the new appointees would be sworn in at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday at the Government House in Port Harcourt, the capital of Rivers State.
The latest development comes after Fubara dissolved the state executive council.
The governor directed all commissioners and special advisers to hand over to the permanent secretaries or the most senior officers in their respective ministries.
