Rivers State Governor, Siminalayi Fubara, has dissolved his cabinet, sacking all commissioners and other public officers linked to the recent Supreme Court judgment.

The decision was contained in a statement issued on Wednesday by his Chief Press Secretary, Nelson Chukwudi.

According to the statement, Fubara held a private valedictory session with the outgoing cabinet members at the Government House in Port Harcourt, as part of activities marking Nigeria’s 65th Independence anniversary.

The governor commended the commissioners for their service and contributions to the state’s development over the past two years. He also urged Nigerians to support President Bola Tinubu’s efforts to build a peaceful and prosperous nation.

Fubara reaffirmed his commitment to governing Rivers with renewed vigour and expressed gratitude to the people for their continued support.
