President Bola Tinubu
President Bola Tinubu has approved the appointments of board chairpersons for 42 federal organisations.
A secretary to the board of the Civil Defence, Immigration, and Prisons Services has also been appointed.
National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Dr. Abdullahi U. Ganduje, is the Board Chairman of the Federal Airport Authority of Nigeria (FAAN).
The National Secretary of the APC, Sen. Bashiru Ajibola, is the Chairman of the National Sugar Development Council.
Leaders of the ruling party were also appointed chairmen of federal boards.
Former Minister of Foreign Affairs, Prof. Bolaji Akinyemi, is the Chairman of the Nigerian Institute of International Affairs
A new managing director for the Nigerian Railway Corporation (NRC) and a director-general for the National Board for Technology Incubation (NBTI) have been appointed.
In a statement issued on Friday, January 24, 2025 by presidential spokesman, Bayo Onanuga, Tinubu directs the board chairpersons not to interfere with the management of the organisations, emphasising that their positions are non-executive.
All the appointments take immediate effect.
