Ogun State-owned airline, Gateway Air, has announced plans to commence flight operations to major cities across Nigeria as part of efforts to enhance connectivity.
The Special Adviser on Information and Strategy to Governor Dapo Abiodun, Kayode Akinmade, announced this in a statement issued on Saturday, April 11, 2026.
Akinmade said the airline would begin scheduled flights on Monday, April 13, covering routes including Iperu-Abuja, Abuja-Port-Harcourt, Abuja-Calabar, Abuja-Jos, and Iperu-Kano.
He quoted the airline as saying that the one-way flights will operate on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, offering passengers economy fares starting from N100,000 to provide affordable travel options.

The governor’s aide added: “The development marks a significant step in improving regional accessibility and delivering efficient, reliable air travel services to passengers, while also supporting economic growth and connectivity across the country.
