Glo celebrates women’s strength, wellness at SheGlows 2025

Globacom has once again reaffirmed its commitment to women’s empowerment through the 2025 edition of its flagship women’s summit, SheGlows, held at the Alliance Française, Mike Adenuga Centre, Lagos.

The event, themed “Wellness for Growth,” brought together women from across the Glo family for an evening filled with laughter, learning, and inspiration — all aimed at promoting balance, resilience, and brilliance in the workplace and beyond.

SheGlows has become a hallmark of Glo’s dedication to supporting its female workforce, offering a platform where confidence, clarity, and community are celebrated as vital ingredients for personal and professional success.

Three accomplished speakers led engaging sessions on wellness, tenacity, and leadership.

Dr. Olubunmi Aboderin-Talabi, Non-Executive Director at Punch Nigeria Limited, opened the summit with a session titled “The Ten Stages of Wellness.”

She encouraged participants to embrace every phase of life with intentional self-care, quoting Joyce Meyer: “You can be pitiful or powerful, but you can’t be both.”

Next, Bunmi George, Founder of Shredder Gang, inspired the audience with her talk on “Willpower and Tenacity.”

She emphasized moderation, discipline, and consistency as the foundation for lasting wellness, humorously adding that “your muscles are your longevity organ.”

Ifeoma Williams, Global Image Consultant and Executive Presence Coach, concluded the keynote sessions with “Commanding the Room: Building Executive Presence and Influence for Career Growth.”

She highlighted authenticity and emotional intelligence as essential traits of effective leadership, reminding attendees that “only when a woman truly glows does she grow.”

A lively panel discussion followed, giving participants the chance to share experiences, exchange insights, and connect across departments.

The event was also streamed virtually to ensure participation from Glo offices nationwide.

Attendees described the summit as uplifting and transformative.

“Each speaker’s message hit home — I left feeling renewed,” said Ifeyinwa Okoli, Team Lead, Customer Care.

“Similarly, Esther Ohiomoba from Enterprise Business noted, “It touched my core.

“My biggest takeaway is to let my brilliance serve, not intimidate.”

More than just a corporate event, SheGlows 2025 underscored Globacom’s belief that empowered women inspire stronger workplaces and communities.

The celebration of self-worth, purpose, and inner strength reminded every Glo woman that when she glows, she truly grows.
