Telecoms giant Globacom has launched four new Nollywood films now available to subscribers at no cost on its entertainment platform, Glo TV.
The company says the rollout underscores its commitment to expanding Nigeria’s digital entertainment offerings with original, high-quality African content.
In a statement issued on Wednesday in Lagos, Globacom revealed that the newly added titles feature some of Africa’s most celebrated actors and filmmakers, offering a rich blend of comedy, drama, romance and culturally rooted storytelling.
The exclusive releases include Johnny Just Come (JJC), Eko Vibes, Bound, and Shifting Desire.
The company noted that the films are not available in cinemas, on YouTube or on any other video-on-demand platforms.
“Each movie was carefully curated to reflect diverse African experiences and provide premium entertainment that is completely FREE—no subscriptions, no charges,” the statement said.
Leading the slate is Shifting Desire, starring Lilian Afegbai and Majid Michel.
The emotional romantic drama, which premiered on Glo TV on December 2, follows a couple navigating therapy, betrayal and the road to healing. It is currently streaming at no cost.
Also featured is the comedy Johnny Just Come (JJC), starring Patience Ozokwor and Nancy Isime.
The film tells the story of an American man attempting to fit into an African household as he pursues love and acceptance, exploring themes of identity and cultural integration.
Rita Dominic and Eyinna Nwigwe star in Bound, a gripping drama centred on a successful career woman grappling with long-buried personal struggles and the impact on her relationship.
Rounding out the selection is Eko Vibes, featuring Broda Shaggi, Josh2Funny and Nkechi Blessing.
The film paints a lively picture of the Lagos youth experience—its hustle, humour and relentless pursuit of success.
Globacom said the titles reflect its continued investment in original African entertainment.
“With these exclusive movies, Glo TV is redefining digital viewing in Nigeria by providing fresh, engaging stories that cannot be found anywhere else,” the company stated.
While Shifting Desire is already live, the other films will be released for free throughout the festive season on the Glo TV app, which is available on the Google Play Store and Apple App Store.
Subscribers can access movies, series, live TV and other premium content on the platform.
Globacom encouraged customers to download Glo TV to enjoy the new premieres.
