Kwara State Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq has approved a cabinet reshuffle affecting all his Special Advisers, Advisers, Senior Special Assistants, and Special Assistants.
The governor’s Deputy Chief Press Secretary, Mashood Agboola, announced this via a statement issued on Monday, June 29, 2026.
Agboola quoted AbdulRazaq as saying that the decision was aimed at creating opportunities for more members of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) to serve, while injecting fresh energy into the administration.

AbdulRazaq said the cabinet reshuffle also affected the Deputy Chief of Staff and the Principal Private Secretary to the Governor.
The governor thanked the affected appointees for what he described as their selfless and invaluable service to Kwara State.
He also directed all affected appointees to hand over government property in their custody to the Office of the Secretary to the State Government.
