Gunmen abduct four family members in Kaduna

At least four members of a family have been kidnapped by suspected bandits in Danhono 2 village, Millennium City area of Kaduna State.

Security sources said the incident occurred around 12:05 a.m. on February 9, when an unspecified number of armed men stormed the residence of Abdulgafar Abdulrazak and took away members of his household.

Those abducted were identified as his wife, Nafisa Abdulrazak, 41; his daughter, Ummu Salma Abdulgafar, 13; and his sister, Maryam Abdulrazak, 10, along with another family member.

Following the report, the Divisional Police Officer mobilised patrol teams to the area. Troops of the Nigerian Army Strike Force, the Special Police Unit (SPU) Armoured Personnel Vehicle team, and local vigilantes were also deployed to support the operation.

The surrounding bushes were cordoned off, while neighbouring divisions, security agencies and adjoining communities were alerted to assist in the search.

Security authorities said efforts have been intensified to rescue the victims safely and track down those responsible for the abduction.
