Security sources said the incident occurred around 12:05 a.m. on February 9, when an unspecified number of armed men stormed the residence of Abdulgafar Abdulrazak and took away members of his household.

Those abducted were identified as his wife, Nafisa Abdulrazak, 41; his daughter, Ummu Salma Abdulgafar, 13; and his sister, Maryam Abdulrazak, 10, along with another family member.

Following the report, the Divisional Police Officer mobilised patrol teams to the area. Troops of the Nigerian Army Strike Force, the Special Police Unit (SPU) Armoured Personnel Vehicle team, and local vigilantes were also deployed to support the operation.
