Gunmen attack Natasha’s family residence in Kogi

Gunmen have attacked the family residence of the senator representing Kogi Central, Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan, at Obeiba-Ihima in the Okehi Local Government Area of Kogi State.

The senator’s Chief Security Officer, Yakubu Ovanja, confirmed the incident to security authorities on Thursday, April 17, 2025.

It was gathered that the attack, which occurred at about 1:00 a.m. on Tuesday, April 15, involved about three armed individuals who vandalised the building, including shattering window panes and damaging parts of the property.

Following a distress alert, a team of police operatives from Okehi Division swiftly mobilised to the scene.

Herdsmen kill many in fresh Benue attack

While no casualties were reported and no arrests have been made, the premises were documented, and preliminary investigations have commenced.

Police sources said the motive behind the attack remains unknown as investigations continue.

The lawmaker has yet to speak on the incident as of press time.
