Gunmen invade church, abduct pastor in Akwa Ibom

Gunmen have abducted the Founder of Solid Rock Kingdom Church, Apostle John Okoriko, at Akpan Nya in the Mkpat Enin Local Government Area of Akwa Ibom State.

An eyewitness, who declined to be named, disclosed that the gunmen, on Tuesday, jumped through the fence and invaded the church where the pastor lives.

He said the gunmen shot sporadically, dragged and whisked the octogenarian away.

The eyewitness explained that the incident has thrown the church and the entire Ibekwe community into panic as the whereabouts of the pastor remain unknown.

The incident was confirmed by the Akwa Ibom State Police Public Relations Officer, SP Odiko Macdon, on Wednesday.
