Gunmen have killed the traditional ruler of Ezuhu na Amadi Autonomous Community in Abor Mbaise Local Government Area of Imo State, Eze Nnamdi Mmirioma.
It was gathered that the monarch was killed at about 3 p.m. on Monday, July 17, 2023, when the gunmen invaded Mmirioma’s palace and shot him severally.
The Imo State Commissioner of Police, Mohammed Barde, who confirmed the incident, described the killing as gruesome.

Barde, in a statement issued by the Imo State Police Public Relations Officer, ASP Henry Okoye, stated that Mmirioma died while receiving treatment at Ndubuisi Hospital.
“The Commissioner of Police has set up a high-powered investigation into the incident to ensure that the perpetrators are arrested and made to face the full wrath of the law,” Okoye added.
The reason for the dastardly act on the monarch has yet to be ascertained as of the time of filing the report.
