Gunmen kidnap ex-Ebonyi deputy governor’s father

Gunmen have abducted Francis Igwe, the father of former Ebonyi State Deputy Governor, Kelechi Igwe.

The Ebonyi State Police Public Relations Officer, SP Joshua Ukandu, disclosed that gunmen abducted the former deputy governor’s father on Sunday morning.

Nwifuru suspends 2 Ebonyi commissioners over dereliction of duty

Ukandu said Francis was kidnapped on his way to church at Ndufu-Alike community, Ikwo Local Government Area of Ebonyi State.

“Our men have been mobilised to the area for investigation and to find means for his rescue,” he added.
