Gunmen have abducted a nursing mother and her child along Supare/Ajegunle in Akoko South West Local Government Area of Ondo State.
The Ondo State Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Abayomi Jimoh, who confirmed the incident on Tuesday, said the abduction occurred on Saturday, January 3, 2026.
Jimoh said: “I can confirm that a nursing mother and her child were kidnapped on January 3 by unknown gunmen at Supare/Ajegunle Akoko axis.

“Efforts are already ongoing while the command has deployed security apparatus in that area in order to rescue the victims alive and unhurt.”

Jimoh, however, reiterated the command’s commitment to safeguarding lives and property of all residents in Ondo State.
