Gunmen suspected to be bandits have reportedly killed three persons and abducted 30 residents of Garin Gidigore in Rafi Local Government Area of Niger State.
The bandits, it was gathered, also razed houses during the attack which occurred on Monday night.
Garin Gidigore village is located a few kilometres from Birnin Gwari town in Kaduna State, where the bandits have several camps in the adjoining forest.
The incident was confirmed by the Niger State Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Wasiu Abiodun.
“About three persons lost their lives and a yet-to-be ascertained number of victims were abducted, while two houses were set ablaze,” Abiodun said.
