Gunmen have killed a policeman and injured the Imo State Commissioner for Solid Minerals, Martin Eke, following attack in the Orji area of the state.
It was gathered that the gunmen also attacked residents during the attack which occurred on Friday.
It was learned that the assailants attacked the police operatives at the 7Up junction at Orji and shot one officer dead.

The gunmen were said to have shot indiscriminately forcing people to scamper for safety.
“They just killed a policeman. They opened fire on them and were shouting, ‘There is sit-at-home. We have asked you to go home. Stay indoors’,” an eyewitness disclosed.
Meanwhile, the Imo State Police Command has yet to react to the incident as of the time of filing this report.
