Hajj committee urges Kaduna pilgrims to pray for Tinubu, Uba Sani

The Kaduna State Hajj Delegation Committee has urged pilgrims from the state currently in Saudi Arabia to pray for President Bola Tinubu and Governor Uba Sani, as well as for peace, stability, and prosperity in Nigeria.

The appeal was made on Saturday when the five-member delegation visited Kaduna pilgrims at their accommodation on Ibrahim Khalil Road in the Misfala district of Makkah.

The delegation leader, Alhaji Abubakar Mustapha, a former Head of Service in Kaduna State, also called on the pilgrims to support the re-election bids of both leaders, saying it would allow them to continue their developmental programmes at federal and state levels.

According to him, both Tinubu and Uba Sani have demonstrated leadership that deserves continuity, urging pilgrims to include them in their prayers during the Hajj exercise.

He also advised the pilgrims to remain law-abiding and comply with both Islamic teachings and Saudi Arabian regulations throughout their stay.

Mustapha was accompanied by senior members of the delegation, including the Governor’s Principal Private Secretary, Professor Bello Ayuba; the District Head of Rigasa and Dangaladiman Zazzau, Architect Mohammed Aminu Idris; as well as Islamic scholars Dr Imam Tukur Adam Almanar and Malam Abdullahi Rabiu Ishaq.

Speaking during the visit, Sheikh Haliru Maraya, a member of the Special Hajj Committee of the Kaduna State Pilgrims Welfare Agency, reminded pilgrims of key Hajj rites, particularly at Mina, and emphasized proper guidance during the exercise.

He disclosed that Governor Uba Sani had deployed 85 officials, including Islamic clerics, to guide Kaduna pilgrims and ensure a smooth and spiritually fulfilling Hajj experience.

According to him, each tent at Mina has been assigned an Islamic cleric to provide religious guidance and support throughout the pilgrimage period.

Maraya described the arrangement as unprecedented among Nigerian states, adding that it reflects the governor’s commitment to ensuring a successful Hajj exercise for Kaduna pilgrims.
